Getting Around

Assiniboine Park Zoo is centrally located in Assiniboine Park just minutes from downtown Winnipeg.

The entrance to the Zoo is located at 2595 Roblin Boulevard.

Get bus service information from Winnipeg Transit.

Parking

Parking at Assiniboine Park Zoo is FREE! The Zoo entrance features two expansive parking areas and convenient access off Roblin Boulevard.

An additional parking lot at 54 Zoo Drive is available for buses and Zoo overflow parking.  A footpath connects this lot to the main Zoo lot. Additional parking is located throughout Assiniboine Park.

Red River Co-op Zoo Tram

The Red River Co-op Zoo Tram is currently closed due to COVID-19 public health restrictions.

The seasonal tram operates inside the Zoo, holds 40 people, and runs on a route that connects the Zoo entrance with the north end of the Zoo, making stops along the way.

 

DOMO Trolley

The DOMO Trolley is currently closed due to COVID-19 public health restrictions.

The DOMO Trolley offers free service connecting Assiniboine Park and Zoo and the The Forks! During the summer months, the trolley makes stops on a repeated circuit at locations within Assiniboine Park, before returning to The Forks. This route is repeated several times throughout the day. Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

There are two level two charging stations located in Assiniboine Park. There is a single charger in the parking lot at the entrance to the Assiniboine Park Zoo and a double charger near the entrance to the English Garden across from the Qualico Family Centre and Riley Family Duck Pond.
